Take your pick from the West City Mall in Henderson and Lynn Mall in New Lynn – all within 10 minutes’ drive. And if you’re up for a wee drive, Northwest Mall located in Westgate is a short 20- minute ride in the car.
The village provides a bus for shopping excursions, for residents unable to drive. Operating three times a week to the main shopping centres, you can easily replenish your groceries at the supermarket, or simply enjoy a spot of shopping.

Greenview Park is surrounded by local clubs and recreational centres, like the Oratia and Glen Eden Bowling Clubs, the Glen Eden RSA, West Wave Aquatic, The Playhouse Theatre and there’s even the Oratia Farmers Market every Saturday!
Parks and Reserves
Waitakere has some of the region’s best kept parks and reserves, with luscious bush and tranquil scenery. The Waitakere Ranges Regional Park is an easy 17 minutes away by car or for a closer drive, Parrs Park is walking distance. West Coast Beaches are the envy of Auckland and basically our backyard for those of us fortunate to live in Waitakere. With plentiful choice, you have Huia, Karekare, Cornwallis, Piha, Muriwai, and Bethells Beach.
If fine wine and decadent cuisine are more to your taste, nearby you’ll find the vinyards and Artisan inspired cafes of Kumeu. Further to that, you’ll find fresh produce outlets in the neighbouring Hobsonville.
